Top 10 Tips for Booking Spring Break

  • Choose your destination.  Visualize your perfect Spring Break!  Do you want large crowds, big nightclubs and major events or do you want to relax and spend time with friends in a laid back environment? Each destination is different and offers a wide variety of things to do.
  • Choose your resort.  Do you want to be in the center of the action or off the beaten path? If you want to be with other Spring Breakers, make sure you find the popular Spring Break resorts. All Inclusive resorts offer a great value because all your food and drinks are included. Make sure that the resort you choose is Spring Breaker friendly.  Popular hotels book fast and will sell out!
  • Choose your flight.  The best flights sell out first. Search for direct flights and minimize connections where possible. Try to find flights that arrive early to your destination to maximize vacation time. Be aware of cheaper flights that overnight. Flights will increase on a daily basis until Spring Break arrives.
  • Book your transfer.  Make sure your travel package includes airport to hotel transfers. Purchasing transfers upon arrival will waste time and money.
  • Do you have your Passport?  Is your passport current?  Passport’s are now required for all Caribbean and Mexico destinations.  If you do not have a passport, you need to apply for it as soon as possible.  Passport processing times can take up to 8 weeks.
  • Check out what your destination has to offer!  Look up excursions, activities and VIP party packages prior to your trip.  Party packages will often save you a ton of money and put you in the middle of the action. Party packages generally feature the most popular bars and clubs.
  • Plan what to pack.  Keep in mind what excursions you may do when packing.  Make sure you have outfits for night clubs, nice dinners, lounging on the beach and cool nights.  Be sure you pack sunscreen (more than one bottle), headache reliever, multiple swimsuits and anything else you consider a necessity.  These items are very expensive at your destination.
  • Baggage allowance.  Visit your airline’s website to see what the weight, height and bag number allowances are.  Pay attention to banned items and liquids list.
  • Get ready for the time of your life!  Spring Break will be one of the most memorable experiences you ever have, make sure it’s a good one!  Be sure to pack your camera and capture all the once in a lifetime moments.
