Spring Break Cancun 2018
Spring Break Cancun 2018 has unfortunately come and gone. Looking back this past season was absolutely crazy (as per usual) at the Oasis Cancun with special appearances by top DJ’s including Carnage, R3HAB, Oliver Heldens, Nervo, and AfroJack at the Oasis Beach club. Everyday the Oasis was buzzing with energy as students from all over the world hit the bars in and out of the pool and really made this resort come to life. With amazing views, daily parties at the main stage, and drinks on deck the Oasis was the perfect Spring Break spot for any Spring Breaker looking for a rowdy time.
The daytime during Spring Break in Cancun was most certainly entertaining EVERY SINGLE DAY, but at night (after that power nap) is when Cancun really came to life. Every night you were hanging at the club on the resort, Coyote Loco, where there were stripper poles and live bands or heading out to our nightly VIP Parties. As you walk up the club zone in Cancun for the first time you are mesmerized at all of the lights flashing from places like Coco Bongo or Fat Tuesdays trying to decide which of these 10 different clubs to go to. Although they came on pretty late, for those of us still standing we really enjoyed performances by DJ Irie and Cash Cash at our Mandala Beach Club parties. Arguably one of the best clubs in Cancun, Mandala Beach Club is open air and the only club located directly on the beach. As one of our student’s from UMD described, “It is out of a movie”, with hot tubs, pools and the beach all in one large club. Another of our favorite venues this year was hands down The City which is the largest night club in South America. It is set up like an arena with multiple levels and in the bottom center is a huge dance area with flashing lights that makes you feel like you are at a high energy rave. The City hosted some big names as well with performances from Lil Jon, Borgore, the Stafford Brothers, DJ Vice and DJ Drama. Coco Bongo was also as popular as ever, with its Vegas style live show entertainment.
Overall, from what we can remember and amid all the Mexico fuss, Cancun was LIT. Every year Cancun for Spring Break is number 1 and it did not disappoint for 2018 with wild times. After all.. Spring Break is about the nights we don’t remember, with the people we won’t forget. See you next year for Spring Break Cancun 2019! Adios muchachos!
